English for Cabin Crew

Course Overview

Promote good English practices by working towards international standards which will equip the trainees with the appropriate language skills. 

This English course is designed for participants with an intermediate level of English as a Second/Foreign language, who are interested in improving their cabin-related English skills.  With this course, trainees will identify and strengthen weak areas in their ability to speak and understanding English.

Course Outline

Lesson 1:    Introduction to Cabin Crew vocabulary.
Lesson 2:    Directions and locations
Lesson 3:    Colours and patterns
Lesson 4:    Telling the time and date
Lesson 5:    What are you doing now?
Lesson 6:    Action words
Lesson 7:    Which do you prefer?
Lesson 8:    Numbers and Currencies
Lesson 9:    Weather and temperature
Lesson 10:  Immigration form-filling and vocabulary
Lesson 11:  Appropriate language use – Do’s & Don’ts
Lesson 12:  English announcements

Effective Communication Skills

Airlines typically carry passengers from all over the globe, from all walks of life.  While they welcome diversity in employees, they truly need crew who can relate to people of diverse cultures.

Improve your communication skills and your understanding of cross-cultural issues and you will reap harvest in more successful work relationships. 

Course Outline

Lesson 1:   Understanding the source of information, good eye-contact and active listening.
Lesson 2:   Non-verbal communication, tone of voice and body language.
Lesson 3:   Social and cultural differences.
