Power UP your Confidence

Perception is everything and your image or this “message without words” speaks loudly about “who you are” and impacts on how you feel about yourself and how others perceive you. If you do not look distinctive in some way, you may be perceived as ordinary and it will be assumed that your services are not world-class. If a person look, dress, behave and communicate like a winner, others will treat them like one.

The aim of this workshop is to heighten your awareness on the power of your image and enhance your grooming skills so you always look sharp and chic. You will sharpened your etiquette intelligence and be empowered with hosting, ushering and networking skills so you know what to do and what to say at all times to project a winning image to be a confident youth.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of the 1-day workshop, participants will:

  • Understand the importance of First Impressions and its impact on Personal Success
  • Sharpen their Grooming skills so they know how to groom and dress to project Confidence
  • Heighten their Social Graces and Etiquette Intelligence so they can navigate any social occasions with Ease and Confidence
  • Pick up Hosting and Ushering skills so they can create a comfortable, cordial atmosphere at functions and be able to show the guests around
  • Sharpen their Dining skills to dine with confidence and finesse at all dining functions
  • Enhance their Networking skills to build collaborative relationships with others
  • Experience an Increase in Self-Esteem, Self-Confidence, Commitment and Motivation - leading to Greater Performance And Productivity

  1. Creating Positive First Impressions, 9.00am - 11.30am (15 minutes tea break at 10.30am)
    • Importance of First Impressions and the impact on your Success
    • Beware of Image Destroyers for boys and girls
    • Deportment & Visual Poise
      • How to stand, sit and walk with grace and confidence
      • Practical on deportment for all

  2. Impress with Professional Etiquette, 11.30am to 12.30pm
    • The difference between Manners and Etiquette
    • The art of Greetings and Introductions
      • How to introduce yourself with confidence and authority
      • Formulas for formal and informal introductions
    • Proper Handshakes & the Language of Handshakes
      • Various ways of handshakes that reveal your Personality and Attitudes
      • When do you NOT Shake Hands
    • Proper Address of Guests/VIPs/Seniors

  3. Enhance your Dining Etiquette & Protocol Intelligence, 1.30pm to 4.15pm (15 minutes tea break at 3.15pm)
    • Cocktail Etiquette
    • Western Dining Etiquette
      • Western Table Layouts and Etiquette
      • American And Continental Eating Styles
      • Understanding the Menu; common Items Like ‘Aperitif’, ‘Entrée’, etc
      • Eating Various Challenging Foods - Demonstrations On How To Eat Spaghetti & De-Shell Prawns Without Using Fingers

  4. Master the Art of Small Talk, 4.15pm to 5.00pm
    • Conversational Skills – How to talk to other people
      • Techniques to improve your small talk capability
      • Topics that you can talk about with guests
    Taboo subjects and other NOT to do things during conversations
